Easy book with a new approach to meditation. I find the "life theories" are not so bothersome as to disturb from the techniques described.

Under normal circumstances I would have given it three stars, since it is not very deep. But the book is such a quick and short read that the those few ideas are enjoyed easily. ( )

This is a book that elaborates the topic that was emphasized in the The Secret. It shares about creative visualization and its uses. Easy to read and very practical. This can be one technique to use when setting one's goals in life. ( )

"Creative Visualization has been successfully used in the fields of health, education, business, sports, and the arts for many years. Gawain explains how to use mental imagery and affirmations to produce positive changes in one's life. The book contains meditations and exercises that are aimed at helping the practitioner channel energies in positive directions, strengthen self-esteem, improve overall health, and experience deep relaxation. This is the book that launched a movement."

This was the first book I ever read on visualisation. For me, this and the audio book, are the best grounding available in honing visualisation skills. The book contains an explanation of the techniques and exercises to help learn them. Shakti makes it all very easy to understand. It did help having a copy of the exercises in audio form, so that I could follow them easily.

Perhaps this book changed my life the most out of any other book. After completing some of the exercises in this book, I emigrated to a new country and started a new life.

Ignore this book, at your peril. ( )
