About the author (2002)

Mark Vernon is an honorary Research Fellow at Birkbeck College, London. He is a writer, broadcaster and jourmalist. Amongst others, he writes for the "Financial Times", the "Guardian", the "Times Literary Supplement", and "Management Today". He also broadcasts for BBC Radio 4.
