when I read this book I realised how we the young generation take things for granted..I have always been a fan of Antjie Krog but this book was an eye opener for me simply because it is incredible on how she details every thing to the blood stained mat in paralament to the time when she and a colleuge had to get dressed behind the bush, nevermind the time she and her husband got death threats and how her children had to raise themselves because she was out there getting the truth for the man on the streets about what was going on inside the Truth and Reconciliation hearings. In so many ways this book is a collecters item if you want to learn more about the journey South African politics has taken.
