We have made an effort to present to the public a correct edition of this valuable work, in a large type, suited to the eye of the student. The text has been carefully compared with one of the best copies of Paley's Works extant, published at Boston in 1810. The introduction, in many cases, of brief and more definite captions to the chapters, and also of 'running titles' at the top of the pages, will be found, we trust, an additional convenience to the reader.
