It deals with topics such as blind obedience, love, forced labour, war crimes, guilt, resilience, being different, tolerance, xenophobia, emigration and dying with dignity.

About the author (2024)

Frank Brachvogel is a German Canadian journalist and accomplished communications expert. Born in Western Germany, 1969, he started his journalistic career at a newspaper at just sixteen years old. Two years later Brachvogel first had the urge to write a book. He graduated just before the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989 and began working as a newspaper journalist in Thuringia, on the former East side of the Wall, just eight months later. Brachvogel studied communication sciences at the Free University of Berlin and went on to be chief editor for radio stations in Weimar, Hamburg and Berlin. He gained his experience in the PR and communications business over 20 years when he worked as a press spokesman, communications consultant, marketing director and executive for various organizations and companies in Berlin, Germany. In Vancouver, Canada, a serendipitous meeting in February 2022, led Brachvogel to research and write this debut novel, "One Life In Four Worlds", fulfilling his lifelong dream.
