This remarks about Baranagar that 1795 particularly whether ceded or not it is a Question? The West Bengal State Archives no British Index shown that I gone through. It was actually ceded in 1814 at London Officially by Prince of Orange. Before 1795 is it Official transfer? If so why Dutch and English met at London in 1814 and Final Ceding Process completed in 1824.There was and is still very much controversy. After ceding Baranagar why British looked for and wanted Paltah or Falta for a Gift to Dutch in exchange of Baranagar?(WB State Archives Record). They have delayed the Matter willfully so that Dutch forced to seek for Court Judgments and the Court of Bengal the then controlled by British and Danish at Serampore and it is obvious that from Collector to Judge and Judicial Process not Unquestionable.Let me know What was the Official date of Ceding for Baranagar?
